Yes, I have had about 4 Maxtor IDE drives on my Amigas. No problem.
and if so do I low level format
NEVER, I repeat NEVER low level format. Just run HDToolBox to
partition it and do a normal format.

I continued to use the 120M drive for Workbench until the power
connector broke. Then I fixed it. Now it's kind of iffy, so it's out
of commission. :(
