Hello everyone with chipmem loss,
I tell you something: graphic operations consume chip memory (if you have
no gfx board), thats why you NEED chipmem, the Amiga's custom chips can't
access fast memory - learn about the Amiga architecture. If your WB
icons/windows require too much chipmem for your taste, install FBlit +
WBCtrl, that changes what can be changed, we had that a DOZEN times now on
the list, is it SO hard to understand?
John Wasilewski wrote a VERY GOOD summary on the whole issue (thanks
again), I suppose everybodies reads it a couple of times before bothering
the list again and again and again with yet another 100 mails on that darn
boring topic. If you want more free chipmem - get a GFX board, fullstop.
