Welcome to the Amiga Active CD

Here at Amiga Active, our philosophy is simple: combine the best features of the Amiga with quality content to provide our readers with a truly immersive experience. As you explore further, you'll discover that the Amiga Active CDs are not just a collection of files, but an extension of the magazine.

Before you proceeed, please read this disclaimer

Our CDs contain a vast collection of high-quality software, but that's only scratching the surface. The exciting thing about the Amiga Active CDs is the collection of material that relates directly to the magazine's content.

There's only so much we can include in the magazine each month. We use the CD to enhance the content of the magazine by including extra material, or material that is not suitable for a printed medium, such as animations or sounds.

Here are a few examples of how we're using the Amiga Active CD to provide you with more each month:

  • Support features to complement the articles and reviews in each issue.
  • Extra images and screenshots we couldn't possibly fit into the magazine.
  • Animated, audio or multimedia accompaniments to magazine articles.
  • Background information and FAQs on products
  • Contact details for product suppliers.
  • Extra information on advertisers.

Add to this a wealth of software and files you'd normally expect from any cover CD with the high standards of Amiga Active and you'll soon see that our CDs offer an unrivalled quantity of information and represent excellent value for money.

All of the information is presented to you in the most accessible way possible. You need only click a link to see more information, play an animation or sound, run a demo or go straight to the section of the CD containing a specific file.

Note: the last feature only works in conjunction with OS 3.5 or Directory Opus running as Workbench replacement.

Getting started

Once you've done this, you can begin to explore contents of this CD.
