Data Sources How to add data sources Adding a new data source tells ORS about a new Observer, probe instance, or Observer Infrastructure from which you want to get data. 1. Select the Data Sources tab, and click New. 2. In the Trending Source Settings window, select the connection type. 3. Type the IP address or host name of the data source. 4. Type a user name and password, and click OK. The default user account is Administrator. There is no pre-defined password for the account. The data source is added to Observer Reporting Server. You are now able to use its data to populate pre-loaded or custom ORS reports. After completing this task: You must assign at least one data source to a business group to complete your configuration.
