Monitoring Devices, Services, and Platforms
Configuring monitors
In Observer Infrastructure a monitor is a part of the program that watches specific performance parameters known as elements of a device or software application.
Observer Infrastructure can monitor and create reports for devices, services, and platforms which it can monitor. Observer Infrastructure includes a number of pre-configured monitors that should meet many of your basic requirements (such as for Exchange Server, Switch and Router Resources, etc.). If you need a monitor that does not exist by default, you can create one.
Observer Infrastructure monitors many types of performance parameters and system events. Performance parameters consist of counters, percentages, and other such measurements that Observer Infrastructure tracks in reports and charts, and can also be used as alarm triggers. System events can be tracked in reports and used as alarm triggers.
