SPERRY Series 90 (nee RCA Spectra) KERMIT KERMIT only runs as a server since the SPERRY 90/60 can not initiate use of an RTIO line other than the terminal line itself. Thus when you run the program, it comes up in SERVER mode and awaits commands from your computer. It accepts no interactive commands, just escape to to your computer's command mode and initiate a command. Implemented commands are: GET, SEND, and BYE. The MCC tables and translation modules must be modified in the system. This is necessary to ensure that all the characters in the printable ASCII range and the ^A have values within the EBCDIC representation (see ATOE table). We did not find this a problem with any other communications mode which we use on our SPERRY.
