The English Football Association want FIFA to grant more tickets for their supporters in France next summer. The only way to obtain a ticket in the UK for an England World Cup fixture is by being a member of the England Travel Club run by the FA but there are more members than tickets in the organisation. If England play in St. Etienne, for example, they will only receive 7,000 tickets and the Travel Club has more than 25,000 members. Each country receives 20% of the total ticket allocation for sale to their own supporters for evry game in the group section. The English FA want more tickets but FIFA will not make any changes to their allocation
of the tickets for the Finals at this late stage. England, they will argue,
is in the same position as every other team - the more games they win in the Finals the more likely it is
that the largest number of fans will get to see them.
