FIFA warning on Internet ticket sales Published:January 19th, 1998
FIFA has announced an investigation into an Internet company who are selling World Cup tickets on the web. The US company is not one of the official ticket outlets who operate under
license from FIFA and are outlets who have to obey the organisation's rules as regards pricing and
availability. FIFA want to produce an authoratitive list of approved agents for the sale
of tickets by the end of the week to steer fans away from the sale of tickets over the Internet.
