Milan refuse bid for Kluivert Published: April 21, 1998
AC Milan have rejected an initial bid for striker Patrick Kluivert from Primera Liga side Real Betis. The Spaniards were hoping to pair the young Dutch international with Brazilian star Denilson in their attack next season and the deal could still happen. Milan will decide the future of Kluivert at the end of the season and may allow him to go into the World Cup Finals on the clear understanding that good performances from him will attract a high bid after he his first troubled season in Italy. |
