Jurgen Klinsmann may be the partner for Oliver Bierhoff after all in the friendly against Nigeria in Cologne tomorrow night. The out of form veteran was substituted at half time in a 1-1 draw at Barnsley on Saturday but Ulf Kirsten is struggling to be fit for tomorrow's match with a back injury. He has also aggravated an old calf injury and has failed to train with the German national side this week leaving the way open for Klinsmann to keep a place in the attack. Kirsten faces a last chance to convince coach Berti Vogts of his fitness this afternoon but he is a doubtful starter. |
