Soccer-Sub Chichangala saves the day for Angola
LUANDA, May 3 (Reuters) - Substitute Chichangala scored a
second half equaliser to give Angola a fortunate 1-1 draw with
Zambia in their Cosafa Castle Cup match in Luanda on Sunday.
His 60th minute header lifted a lethargic home team out of
their slump and allowed the Angolans a late fightback against a
youthful, but impressive Zambian team.
Chichangala came on to head home at the far post after
Masauso Tembo had put the Zambians ahead early in the second
half.
Tembo also scored with a header from a set-piece as Zambia,
playing their first match after a disastrous African Nations'
Cup campaign in February, capitalised on their first half
dominance.
The draw left Zimbabwe ahead in the league format southern
African championship. Zimbabwe beat Namibia 5-2 in the first
game of the 10-match competition last month.
Zambia are home to Mozambique in Lusaka on May 16 in the
next game.
