Beyond 2000


World cup 2002 is under plan, and so far, only Japan and South Korea have made the bid for hosting the event. Unless something dramatic comes up, it will be the first time the World Cup Finals are staged in Asia.



FIFA had decided that both Japan and South Korea will co-host the World Cup 2002. This will be the first time the tournament being hosted by two countries.

After some heated arguments, it seems now both Germany and England will bid for hosting the World Cup in the year 2006.
