Mathematics Range
Let's start with a little mind game.
- First, think of a number, a 3-digit number, make sure the first digit is larger than the last digit
- Now, reverse the number and subtract it from the first number. If the result is a 2-digit number, put a 0 in front of it
- And now, reverse the number and add it together
- I bet you come up with 1089 at this point.
Right?
"...the universe stands continually open to our gaze, but it cannot be understood unless one first learns to comprehend the language and interpret the characters in which it is written. It is written in the language of mathematics, and its characters are triangles, circles, and other geometric figures, without which it is humanly impossible to understand a single word of it; without these, one is wandering about in a dark labyrinth."

Do you know....
What is amicable numbers?
2 numbers were amicable if each was the sum of the divisors of the other.
The first pair of amicable numbers ever discovered were 284 and 220.
284 can be written as 4x71, 2x142 and 1x284
so, the divisors are 4, 71, 2, 142 and 1, (we don't count the number
itself as a divisor) the sum of 4+71+2+142+1=220.
And in the same way,
220 can be written as 2x110, 4x55, 5x44,10x22, 20x11 and 1x220
If you add up 2+110+4+55+5+44+10+22+20+11+1,
the answer is 284!
Brain Teaser
Five 3s can express 37:
37 = 33 + 3 + 3/3.
What other way(s) can you do it?
Think you know the answer? Send it in.
Answer for the last quiz
Formula for success
The formula for success is simple, find a product that everybody wants,
manufacture it of the best quality, and sell it at the lowest price.

As simple as it sounds, it certainly has some truth in it. If you look at it this way, success = product + best quality + lowest price. Or simply success = x + y + z, it is just that simple. All you need now is to solve this equation, that is, find all the unknowns. Good luck. And come to think of it, everything in life can be written into an equation, then you try to solve it. And you think you don't like Mathematics! However, the problem is that there is always too many unknowns, there can't be a definite answer. Think of it this way,
there is always more than one possible way.
