Free VRML Objects From 3Name3D!

Free VRML Objects !!!

In an effort to encourage the building of VRML worlds, and to increase the awareness of CyberProps in the VRML community, 3Name3D is offering 25 CyberProps that have been translated into VRML 2.0 format. Materials and creaseAngles have been assigned and (where appropriate) texture coordinates have been added. We hope you enjoy them.

Please e-mail us the URL of any cool worlds you build using these objects and we'll put a link to them on this page!

Note: Viewpoint and NavigationInfo nodes have been added to these objects to make them easier to view. You may want to remove these nodes before inserting the objects into your worlds. Please do not remove the WorldInfo node as it contains important information that should be kept with the objects. (File sizes were determined before the Viewpoint and NavigationInfo nodes were added.)

Notes On Using These Objects:

I've added texture coordinates to several of the objects that could benefit from non-default mapping. If you don't plan on using textures with the objects, you may want to remove them.
I tried to apply materials that I thought people would like, but I don't expect that everyone on the planet will have the same tastes I have.
Most of the objects can be reduced by the deletion of un-needed parts (handles for example) (Unfortuately, CosmoWorlds won't split up the coordinateIndex without also triangulating the objects - which I didn't want to do, so the reduction isn't as big as it could be.)
I've reduced the decimal precision to 3 places (1 milimeter), but I haven't munged the files.
Basicly you're free to bash the objects in any way you want as long as you keep the WorldInfo node (with the copyright info) in place.
