I'm a junior at Western Illinois University majoring in geology and
minoring in geography. I started my college career at a local community college in 1993. I live in one of the dorms, and go home most weekends. I hope to graduate in 2000. I've traveled extensively throughout the United States and have been to Europe when I was a child. I love going to Disney World. My whole family considers it to be the best vacation spot. We also like Colorado. The Rocky Mountains are spectacular.

I love being around animals, especially horses, wolves, and cats.
One of my aunts has a horse farm and I've taken riding lessons. I also love to read romance novels and can usually finish a book a day (depending on the length). My favorite authors include Johann Lindsey, Jude Devereaux, and Diana Palmer.

I have loved computers since I received my first Tandy for Christmas
10 years ago. Several years ago, my aunt got a laptop and gave me her old IBM, a machine older than my Tandy. Last summer I got a new Compaq with CD-ROM and modem. I use my computer mostly for games. I don't have a printer so I can't write term papers on it. I like adventure games like the Kings Quest series, Lighthouse, and Maniac Mansion. Many of my games are children's games because I baby-sit frequently. I discovered the Internet when I first started college in 1993. This school year I received an e-mail account and created my first web page (http://www.wiu.edu/users/muamc6/).

My job before moving to campus was as a customer sales/service
representative. My duties included taking orders and complaints for several catalog companies. I learned a lot about plants, and last summer I planted my first garden. It did really well and is starting to come up this spring. I can't wait to see what's blooming every time I go home.
