Speak Spanish is a self-paced learning program. As you explore the 18 different environments, you can learn words and phrases. There's a tour setting to flip slowly through the words and phrases. There is a search engine and tests will check your progress.

Technical Aspects:

There were no technical problems with installation or during run-time. The graphics are a bit dated, and some of the time it is difficult to figure out what should be clicked next.

Report and Conclusions:

This program will help you to learn the basics of conversational Spanish. Our favorite part was the tests, which also provide scoring so that you can tell how you're doing. This program will provide the basics in vocabulary, but it will become tedious fairly quickly.
