Success in Spanish is an excellent way to learn Spanish! There are 12 lessons, each with corresponding games. Many options make it possible to replay each lesson differently from a previous session. Also included are a 2,600 word glossary with audio pronunciation and a Grammar & Usage section which can be accessed throughout the game. The player can even record their own prounciation (requires a microphone) and compare it to the correct pronunciation.

Technical Aspects:

When I installed Success in Spanish, I chose a different directory than the one provided. This created problems, as it wouldn't automatically create its own folder, but installed the components all over the place. Because of this, it wouldn't recognize my CD-ROM, either. After a quick call to technical support, this problem was easily resolved. When installing, if you choose a different directory, make sure you create a folder to install it to. The program ran fine, and the manual is very helpful and descriptive.

Report and Conclusions:

This is a comprehensive approach to learning Spanish and is especially useful for the student, or the business traveler. It is better suited for middle school and older.
