Description:

Solar System Explorer is a scientific interplanetary exploration in which pilots can travel in time and space. Famous past missions are programmed into the title and can be re-created on screen, to be experienced from a first person perspective. There is a direct Internet connection, linked to the Maris Space and Astronomy web site for updates.

Notes:

We would recommend a Pentium 75 as the minimum requirement. Our 486 handled the tasks very slowly, even with 16 megs of RAM. The title installed easily; the interface is not child-friendly, but older children will work their way through it. The documentation for this title is excellent.

Internet links, beautiful graphics, mission planning, research, history, and 360 degree views, maps, more! A great dept of content is here, and it's worth the time and effort to figure out the challenging interface.
