Description:

While watching her kids work side-by-side on two computers, Mary Boise noticed that one was having problems typing a school report while the other was "dancing over the keys" playing a game. She wondered if the two could be combined and set out to create Slam Dunk Typing. This title aims to teach typing through games and drills on the basketball floor.

Features:

  • 7 arcade-style drills.
  • 10 skill levels.
  • Work your way up from Rookie to All-Star status.
  • Step-by-step approach.
  • Emphasizes accuracy, rhythm and speed.

Reactions:

This title will certainly appeal to basketball fans, and while the subject of basketball may draw in males, there are female players in the game itself. We had no technical problems whatsoever, and Creative Wonders thoughtfully includes an uninstall program. As a fast typist, I had problems with watching the ball pop up in various places - for some reason, that threw me, but later realized that as a beginning typist, it would've been much easier to follow. It's always surprising to see people spend hundreds of dollars for extra RAM for their computers to speed it up who then proceed to peck at the keyboard with two fingers!
