Description:

If you have ever wanted to build your own space station, this is the program for you! Skybase allows the user to design, build, and explore their own space station. Designed with the help of NASA and and other space agencies, the player is given the option of building the International Space Station (currently due to be completed in 2003) or their own design. After the station is completed, exploration is possible inside and out.

Features:

  • Explore the ISS Space Station!
  • 40 modules
  • Spacewalk
  • Facts on Space Station, Space life, modules, launches

Technical Aspects:

Skybase installed easily and ran fine. The online help is descriptive and helpful, and the manual is informative. The graphics on the box are exactly as the program.

Report and Conclusions:

Skybase is an excellent way to learn more about the International Space Station. The modules' different functions are explained throughly, and the actual launch sequences that will be used in the ISS are included. I was confused at first about whether I could launch the space station that I had designed and called Tech Support for help. It took a couple of tries, but when I got in touch with them, they were very polite and helpful. The space station is already in space after you build it, there is no actual launch.
