Description:

Ocean Explorer features an assortment of characters your kids will love. Each character shows videos and offers to play games. This program is full of fun, information and entertainment. Plan to take several hours to explore the ocean depths.

Meet Zippy the Bathysphere and his friends!

Zippy's periscope shows video views! There's also a Maze Game so that you can help the baby fish find his mama. If you're tired after that, come to the playroom and watch a seafaring show, do some coloring in a fishy coloring book or watch itty-bitty fishy cartoons!

Spike the Sea Urchin

Spike will show you incredible videos of the tide-pool creatures or play a Match Game to win treasure. There are several options to choose from, all fun!

Gabby Garabaldi?

Gabby is your guide to the Kelp Forest videos and will offer to play "Hidden Friend Games" - "Guess Who?" or "Rub-a-Dub" - you'll have a great time!!

Clyde the Clam

This clam will introduce you to his dee-water pals and Clyde's Fish Gumbo lets you create funny fishes. Or play his Match Game for more TREASURE!

Spout the Orca Whale

The only misrepresentation found is made here - that Killer Whales are "nice." But Spout is certainly cute and he offers to guide you to the open ocean to meet its denizens - and he plays a killer ABC game! (HEY! I heard that Groan!) You put "stickers" of fanciful fish or real fish all over the ocean - my favorite is the Xylophone fish.

Sammy the Sea Horse

Sammy's favorite game is "Find the Fish," a fun and colorful game. She also shares some beautiful and informative videos about the residents of a coral reef. Watch out for the treasure!

The Sunken Pirate Ship

Present your treasures to the pirate and you'll be admitted into his den - EXPLORE! You'll learn all about famous pirates. Go below to watch a cartoon or play "fishy shoot-out."

NOTE: Smaller children may find the pirate's skeleton and the pirate story a bit scary. You might look it over alone first - this area can easily be avoided if it's a problem.

Sounds Of The Sea

The music is a light-hearted Carribean style that contributes to the mood of these ocean creatures - very upbeat. There are oceanic sound effects throughout. Your kids will be talking whale in no time!

The Mouse leaves US Roaring!

Roaring Mouse has done a wonderful job of bringing the ocean to North Central Texas! In writing this review, I spent two hours playing and didn't see everything. The break I took was a mistake - my husband and 3 year old daughter hijacked the computer and took up where I left off. I retreated to a safe distance and watched them play for another couple of hours.
