Description:

Dinosaurs Mike and Spike need your help with their rock band! They'll be travelling through 11 countries while solving 12 levels of difficulty in step counting, multiplication and story problems. There are fun songs that reinforce each lesson. The games are basically multiplication drills all the way through, but if your child needs supportive help in learning the tables, this could be a very useful title for them.

Features:

  • Multiplication facts and skills,
  • Original musical score,
  • World geography and culture facts,
  • Word problems

Reactions:

Unfortunately, when my daughter was in 3rd grade, some bright person decided they should teach "Calculator Math" instead of multiplication, a huge error in judgment. My daughter became convinced that since calculators exist, she shouldn't have to go to the trouble to learn the multiplication tables. Several years later, she has learned them but isn't comfortable and proficient with math in general. My hope is that titles such as this one will help her get a clear perspective. Yes, it's very much a program of number drills and at times, it's exactly what's needed.
