Description:

Scholastic's The Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body is another title in the series based on the popular television show in which science facts come to life with narration, sound, video, and animation. In this title kids learn the basics of the internals of the human body, both form and function. Like all the MSB titles, this one combines exploration, factual knowledge, and entertaining games that reinforce the learning and keep the kids coming back for more.

Features:

  • 12 body parts to explore!
  • Games
  • Experiments
  • Reports
  • Videos

Technical Aspects:

There were no problems installing or operating this title. This title is one of the older titles in the series (pre-Windows 95) and so has no problems running on older Windows 3.1 computers with limited memory (recommended 8 MB).

Report and Conclusions:

This is an older title in the MSB series and as such does not have the high resolution "video graphics" of some of the current crop of software, but the kids don't seem to mind a bit. My 6 year old still comes back and explores this title every few month's even though she originally went through it 2 years ago. It has definitely given her a solid grasp of the basics of the human body. And it doesn't hurt that it's based on her favorite television show, The Magic School Bus. This is a solid title and a worthwhile addition to any family's library of educational software.
