Microbe Zoo is targeted for middle school teachers and their classes, but is available for single-users as well. The interface used is that of a Safari Zoo and introduces the many animal, dirt, water and food habitats of microbes. The information is presented in a visual format, especially in helping students understand the size and scale of microbes. The set is completed with four comprehensive lesson plans and thirteen online guides for biology students. This title is an excellent resource for classrooms as well as the curious.

Notes:

Installation is simple, and the title ran without any bugs...other than those microbes! The graphics are clear, visually appealing and the actual photographs are fascinating. Many of these photographs have not been published previously.

Features:

Easily navigable interface, 140 photographs and micrographs (photos made with an electron microscope), an excellent lab book with extensive information, a photo album and notepad, a comprehensive glossary with over 500 entries, and a searchable microbe database called Crobe 2000.
