Description:

Well, here we are, and that's saying something. We managed to survive the run-in with that asteroid, but now we're stuck and there are aliens planning to turn us into outerspace hash! First order of business: repairs. We'll be solving algeabraic expressions, equations, plotting points on a graph, factoring polynomials and more. Once we've got the ship repaired, we'll be outta here! And in the meantime, we'll have mastered first year Algebra, building the skills for handling college math.

Features:

  • Master over 25 essential skills.
  • Six activities cover the entire year of Algebra 1.
  • A Strategy Room with tutorials and practice.
  • Video Chalkboard for visual demonstrations.
  • Progress reports.

Technical Aspects:

No problems here! The title ran well under Windows '95; installation was a snap.

Report and Conclusions:

Geez, I hated Algebra in school! But this title presents the concepts in a fun setting and provides instant feedback so kids will know if they're on the right track. I found myself playing just because it was fun! This title is designed for middle and high school students who are working through Algebra I. It's an excellent support for any curriculum, but where were these brilliant people a few years back when I was slogging my way through???
