Description:

If you've ever hoped to be part of an up and coming rock band, here's the chance! Common sense and your math skills will help you solve real-life problems, climb the charts and produce your very own music video. But the pressure is on - will you be able to do it? The types of problems included here involve logic, critical thinking, time management, money, percents, measurements and more.

Features:

  • Use math in real-life situations.
  • Over 4,000 word problems.
  • Reference library to explain concepts.
  • Play along with the band.
  • Create your own music videos.

Reactions:

The packaging of Math for the Real World nicely represents the product. The title is bright, but wacky, throughout. It isn't as fast paced as Theatrix Interactive's Math Heads, but provides a fun and interesting way for kids to learn math skills. The program draws a direct correlation between success in math and success in the real world and kids will enjoy the chance to explore it.
