Jump Start Typing is the first in Knowledge Adventure's new "Learning Tools" series, developed to enhance supplemental skill areas. The title is set up so that kids play "extreme sports" as they work thorugh 30 typing lessons. You'll notice familiar faces as Polly Spark and Botley (from JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade) continue their usual pranks and Polly has actually been excluded from the typing competition. In retaliation, she's locked Coach QUERTY in the Trophy Room - if you can free the coach in time, the team still has a chance to win!

Report and Conclusions:

This title will teach kids to type! The typing lessons aren't all that much fun, but the arcade-style games more than make up for it. Your kids will love playing table-top foosball, snowboarding, mountain climbinb, roller racing, and makng messages with fans in the stands. Our favorite is the foosball! Jump Start Typing is a product for kids ages 7 to 10, and they'll have fun at the Interplanetary Typing Pentathlon while they learn important typing skills.
