JumpStart 1st Grade Math was designed to reinforce the skills children learn in 1st grade, and includes 7 skill sets essential for kids to master. Frankie the Dog has gotten smaller recently, much smaller, and needs to make friends in his huge backyard as he gathers bones so that he can return to his "real" size. As children play through the activities, Frankie receives the bones he needs.

Technical Aspects:
Jump Start 1st Grade Math installed quite easily and ran with no problems. The speech is clear, the graphics are a nice cartoon-quality and there was no choppiness in video or audio.
Report and Conclusions:
Kids will enjoy the math activities combined with the storyline. We loved the "Dragonfly Tag," songs, and Frankie is very appealing. Being able to print out worksheets is a great reinforcement of the math skills - while most of the activities in the program are drills, they are intwined with the storyline and kids will enjoy helping Frankie. This is what edutainment should be!
