Description:

Jump Start 1st Grade Reading presents kids with a role-playing game. Mel the Magician has trapped Frankie's circus pals in a jigsaw puzzle and the pieces have been hidden! As you play the carnival games and win tickets, redeem them for pieces of the puzzle, reassemble it, and save the circus. The seven different games provide enough variety to keep kids interested for hours on end.

Features:

  • 7 skill building activities
  • 6 sing and learn songs
  • Over 1500 vocabulary words
  • Multiple difficulty levels
  • 32 printable workbook pages
  • Kid's Tutor feature

Technical Aspects:

Knowledge Adventure is one company we've never experienced technical problems with! Each of their titles is carefully crafted, and this one is no exception. It installed quickly and ran with no problems. The graphics are beautifully done and a great deal of attention and detail is evident in the richness of the colors.

Reports and Conclusions:

My 4 year old was highly impressed and played through several games. She's particularly into games where she can 'save' the day (she loved Hasbro's Candyland for the same reason.) With seven different games and three levels of difficulty, there's an enormous amount of content here.

How the people at Jump Start keep doing it is beyond me, but they consistently come up with innovative educational games, copy-catting NO ONE! This product is designed for ages 5 to 7 and is a delightful addition to my own home educational library.
