Inspiration Education Edition, 5.0 offers a way to place thoughts onto the computer screen in a variety of manners. If you prefer Outlines, there is an option to allow you to enter information in that form and manipulate it. However, if you prefer, you can enter random thoughts, then priortize/order them as you see fit later.

My oldest daughter struggles with Attention Deficit Disorder, and in the past, has had to write individual sentences on index cards, then work to order and amplify her thoughts. Inspiration will take much of the angst out of the process for her. With over 500 symbols, and a simple interface, she'll be able to focus on her thoughts, and not the process she's using. There's also a website where lesson plans can be shared, as well as a free demo - just click on the company name/link at the beginning of the review.
