Description:

Fun With Architecture is based on the best selling stamp collection from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and offers a chance to play architect with 45 shapes, ranging from roofs and walls to 3-D columns and domes. Kids can save and print their creations, use one of the 40 structural templates, or play free-form.

Features:

  • 12 distinct background images.
  • 24 textures including stone, wood, concrete, etc.
  • On-screen tour.
  • Learn about architectural styles.

Technical Aspects:

Fun With Architecture installed quickly and ran with no problems. The graphic backgrounds are great, and we enjoyed playing with the structural templates.

Report and Conclusions:

This program does provide information on the history of architecture and on the fundamentals of building and design. The interface is much easier to maneuver than similar programs, and includes larger buttons than Colorforms. We enjoyed this program, but be aware that it has a narrow focus, which limits the replay value.
