Description:

Franklin Learns Math stars a turtle named Franklin, with his friends and family. He's a busy little guy and kids will enjoy getting to know his world. This title uses low-key tactics to introduce basic mathematical concepts to children ages 4-7.

Features:

  • Pattern Completion
  • Paint by Number
  • Counting
  • Matching
  • Spending Money
  • Telling Time

Comparisons

The nearest comparison currently on the market is Broderbund's James Discovers Math, which takes a very different approach to introducing numbers. Franklin is more structured than James; your choice will depend upon your child's learning style.

Reactions

My children weren't too enthused about this title. They loved Franklin and his bear buddy, but didn't care for the games. My favorite was the "Make Patterns with Bear" in which you help Bear win marbles by completing patterns. Those are great marbles!
