Has everyone met Fin Fin? He's a cute dolphin/bird animal who lives on the magic planet Teo. This program is a virtual pet, put together using what Fujitsu Interactive calls "A-Life." We have a review of the original package already online, and the premise is the same, although it is great to see that the price has come way down. The company is even offering upgrade discounts to those who already own a version of Fin Fin.

Technical Aspects:
No installation problems here. The program comes on 2 CD's, but Fujitsu Interactive has thoughtfully kept the disc swapping down to a minimum. The graphics are lush, and the sound effects are great! If your sound card won't support full duplex sound, you can still record messages to Fin Fin and play them using the keyboard. Hint: he seems to respond well to sing-song messages!
Report and Conclusions:
My 3 and 5 year old adore Fin Fin, and this latest package is an improvement over the previous one. There are over 60 songs, and as you'll find out, different happenings in Teo at various times of the year. A great deal of thought, effort and energy has gone into this title, and it's obvious. Be sure to check out the Encyclopedia, which will give you important information about how to get the most out of the planet Teo.
