Everglades Journey can be used as a storybook or kids can explore the environment, learn about animals and insects, or check to see if their favorites are on the "endangered" list.

Technical Aspects:
We had no problems with this title - the program runs directly from the CD, so no installation is necessary and no hard drive space is used. We did find the interface to be clunky, though, and at times we weren't sure where we would end up next. Also, there's no BACK button that we could find. The audio files for this program are quite interesting and varied, and kids will get a giggle out of the silly songs.
Report and Conclusions:
Everglades Journey takes a relaxed approach to teach kids about environmental issues, animals, ecosystems and more. While there's humor used throughout, it would have been nice to have some of the animal sounds available. Further, there are a grand *five* matching games - hasn't anyone noticed that matching games have been done to DEATH? Enough, already. Matching games for kids should be on the extinct list for last year.
