You'll find over 32,000 articles, 14,000 photos and illustrations, 150 video clips and 3-D animations, 2300 sound clips and 10,000 plus web links, on two CD-ROMS. Additionally, a third CD is included - Encarta Research Organizer, designed to help gather information, arrange it and cite sources easily.

Technical Aspects:
The Microsoft Encarta 98 Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition installed easily and didn't cause any crashes or other problems while running. The 3D Virtual Tours are amazing, with breathtakingly realistic graphics.
Report and Conclusions:
Encarta is filled with information from multiple sources of information, and while multimedia has always been a natural for harnessing encyclopedic information, Microsoft got it right. It would be awful to have to choose between Encarta and World Book on CD-ROM, because our family regularly uses both products. The sights and sounds in this title are incredible!
