Memorex and Roaring Mouse have presented the latest in their Explorer series - Dinosaur Explorers, a hybrid CD-ROM including special footage from the National History Museum of Los Angeles County. There really isn't anything breathtakingly "new" in this title, most of the activities are available in other software packages on the market.

Reactions

My four year old did enjoy watching the two cartoons (on the thumbnail size screen), but the activities have all been done in other dinosaur titles. We did find that the colors made my kids think the dinosaurs might have actually looked the way they do onscreen. Hot pink with white polka-dots?

If your kids haven't looked at Knowledge Adventure's 3D Dinosaurs or the excellent offering from Cloud 9 Interactive, Wanna Be a Dino Finder, they may enjoy playing with Dinosaur Explorers.
