Description:

Inverse Ink and DC Comics have teamed up to produce four Superhero comic books on CD-ROM. These first editions include: Superboy - Spies from Outer Space; Batman - Partners in Peril; Superman - The Mysterious Mr. Mist; and Aquaman - War of the Water Worlds. The same interface is used for each of the titles, and it is simple to work with. The stories are laid out exactly like comic book pages. Each panel features multimedia action, animated hotspots, and folders that provide plot clues. The controls for autoplay, music and page selection are easily accessible from any page of the story.

Superheroes, coming to a computer near you!

Features:

The Stories:

Superman - The Mysterious Mr. Myst tells the tale of an underground alien determined that Lois Lane should become the queen of his empire. She has other ideas, of course - but will Superman be there in time to save her?

Aquaman - War of the Water Worlds finds Aquaman confronted by an army of supervilians with a suction machine that captures Aquaman's allies! WHOYAGONNACALL?

Batman - Partners in Peril features Batman and Robin against the Penguin, Catwoman, the Riddler and the Joker! They've got a contest going over who can commit the most daring crime, and the winner takes over Gotham City's crime empire. (Crime EMPIRE, you say? How could you doubt it??)

Superboy - Spies from Outer Space - when two strange aliens embark on a wave of destruction, Superboy comes to the rescue! But there may be a much larger threat...can Superboy deal with it??

Reactions

The comic book enthusiasts in our household loved these first stories! But don't expect people who dislike comics to suddenly change their tunes just because these are on CD-ROMs! In simpler terms, if you like comics, you'll love these releases. Inverse Ink has done a great job - they're really slick. Reasonably priced, as well - they'd make great stocking stuffers for the holidays. But if you don't care for comic books, you probably won't care for these either. I did miss that the program doesn't have a cover page!
