Type: Thinking Games

Description:

Big Thinkers Kindergarten introduces kids to Ben and Becky Brightly, the Brightly twins, who will accompany you throughout their house - and beyond! The difficulty levels are adjustable, and it contains activities designed to enhance skills in math, language arts, science/social science, creative arts and thinking skills. Throughout the game, kids are rewarded with SmartStars, which are stored in their Brain Banks and later redeemed for a special maze game.

Features:

  • 16 fun activities, designed to complement curriculum.
  • A shortcut to previously played games.
  • Print screens and activities.
  • Multiple difficulty levels.

Technical Aspects:

As usual when playing a product from Humongous Entertainment, we had no problems of any kind. From this group, we'd expect nothing less. The graphics are done in cartoon style, and audio is fun as well.

Report and Conclusions:

Big Thinkers Kindergarten has a wide variety of activities, including Silly Stories, Mealtime Mazes, Hide 'N Seek, Making Faces and Music Makers. Kids ages 4 to 6 will find it very enjoyable, although it took us awhile to really get "into" it. This wasn't because of a design flaw but because we were busy exploring all the little clickables around the screens. My 4 year old likes Bird Perch Math and the Music Makers best. Becky and Ben are a lot of fun, and kids will appreciate that the characters will surprise them with a birthday cake - on their real birthday!
