Description:

For every girl who has either cut, painted, inked in nostrils, or otherwise mutilated her Barbie, this is the game for YOU! In Barbie Magic Hair Styler, girls can barber, streak, and accessorize to their hearts content. There are endless ways to makeover your Barbie and you can print out the result.

What fun! On starting the game, you are given these options: 4 different Barbies to choose from and 4 different settings to make her over for. You can choose Barbie, Kira, Christie, or Teresa to play with, and place her in either a wedding, dream date, career or costume party setting. After a Barbie is chosen and a setting picked, then the fun starts. Hair, eyes, lips, cheeks, girls can color away! The hair can be lengthened, shortened, slanted, or put in a pony tail. Earrings & necklaces can also be added for the final touch. When you are finished, take a picture for the picture gallery, print it out and click on the projector to see Barbie after she is finished.

Features:

  • Barbie!
  • Makeup
  • Hairstyles
  • Print option

Technical Aspects:

The minimum requirements are for a 486,16 RAM 2X CD-ROM, but the game was a little sluggish on my P100, 32Ram, 24X CD-ROM. The cursor was slow to respond to commands, so I would say the requirements are a little optomistic. Installation was a snap!

Report and Conclusions:

This game is a must have for all little girls who love to play dressup and makeup. I have seen it enjoyed by this age range of girls: a 6 yr. old, 8 yr. old, and even my 11 yr. old loved it! Why, my friend's two boys even had a blast with it, they spent hours making Barbie as ugly as humanly possible! I do wish, however, that they would have made the ending animation longer and with more detail. After I dressed Barbie for work, all she did was wave & drive away! It would have been neat to see her actually arrive at whatever work she chose. But even so, I don't think any girl will be disappointed with this game.
