Description:

Ace Ventura is based on the Jim Carrey movies by the same name. The box advertises, "Danger. Babes. Butt yodeling. It's all in a day's work." (sigh) Literally, for this reviewer, it seems. This title is your gross kid brother at his most obnoxious. Actually, my daughter was offended by the way women are portrayed here and asked, "Why did they do that, Mom?" She was referring to the "babe" on the box. "Money, dear."

To be fair, 7th Level does include a parental lock for the raunchier/sexier areas of the title.

• Dodge butt-scorching fire jets.
• Outswim toxic waste.
• Learn to talk out of various body parts.
• Try to avoid paying rent.

Notes:

Ace Ventura installed easily and ran with no apparent bugs. It did run slowly on our machine, a Pentium processor probably should have been required.

Reactions:

Ace Ventura was obviously written and programmed to appeal to adolescent males. I should mention that 7th Level has cheats, etc. on its' website.
