Virtual Pool 2 Demo
Published by Interplay

Age Group: Age 8 and Up
Type: More Fun
License: free demo

Description:

Learn physics and geometry the very fun way- by shooting pool! Without the environment of a billiard room, "Virtual Pool" takes reality to the extremes. Physicists designed some of the features, to make the ball reaction simulate the real game. Players can explore the realm of jump shots, English, and trick play without the ball becoming a dangerous flying object.

The keyboard offers no end of options. Just as the player has control of the cue in the real game, players shoot with the mouse. Hold down the "S" key and use the mouse to draw the cue. Then let go of "S" and give the mouse a big shove to break! (Just remember, you can make a "virtual miscue", too.) Hit the escape button to get to the toolbar and the options at the top. They will allow players to turn on tracking lines, use English, get an overhead view, "walk around the table", and various other advantages.

The demo version only allows one player to play four balls of nine-ball. (The full version has many different games, computer opponents, and options.) However, while testing the demo, players may want to change the pocket size and cut, table speed, and rail bounce just for fun.
