There is a seat open at King Arthur's Round Table, and Merlin is searching for the perfect person to fill the void. To qualify for the position the player has to defeat the minions of the Black Knight on his quest to Camelot. These are not the only challenges, however. Arthur and Merlin have posted guards along the way to test the candidate's ability to recognize words. If the player answers the guards' questions correctly, they pass on to the next level. If not, the guard will deny the player passage until they surpass the goal that is set for each stage. Merlin suggested they organize a contest for the best knights in the kingdom. Each contestant must brave many dangers, overcome fierce opponents, and gather hidden treasures. The successful knight would also have to demonstrate a mastery of words and their meanings. Because, at times, words can be mightier than the sword.

While you play this scrolling game, you need to answer the vocabulary questions posed by the guards, collect food, treasures, navigate mazes, and more. You can study the word list, so that you will be able to answer the next round of questions. The game will also keep track of how the adventurer is going, and records can be printed.

The fun doesn't have to stop when you turn off the computer: You can print crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, flash cards, and tests for traditional pen and paper learning activities. You can even print materials from your own word lists that you created with the word list editor. Good fun and action combined with learning. The registered version has 36 action-packed levels to keep the student motivated. and more subjects for a total of more than 3300 words, and a word list editor. The evaluation version has about 1000 words in it. Definitely worth the download!
