Description:

Book is a HyperCard stack designed for children to create their own illustrated stories. Each page has an area for text, and another to draw their illustration in. The illustrations are black and white, although the program displays color (the book, background, and buttons) on color systems. The format makes it easy for beginners or older children to make their own books.The children will need to be shown how the HC paint tools work, but it is fairly simple, my kids caught on quickly.

Once children have made their own books, they can share them with anyone who has HyperCard or the HyperCard Player. Katherine (age 6) has written a story using Book called "My Cat", inspired by Mandy's "Mi Cat" story which is included with Book.
