Ten little birdies waiting in a line
One fell over and then there were nine

Nine little birdies sitting on a gate
One lost his footing and then there were eight

Eight little birdies thinking about heaven
One thought too hard and then there were seven

Seven little birdies standing on some sticks
One tripped over and then there were six

Six little birdies very much alive
One flew away and then there were five

Five little birdies pecking at a door
One pecked her way through and then there were four

Four little birdies singing in a tree
One fell off the branch and then there were three

Three little birdies wondering what to do
One wondered too long and then there were two

Two little birdies eating up a bun
One ate too much and then there was one

One little birdie tried to have some fun
Away hopped the birdie and then there were none

No little birdies out till I don't know when
