Error 404: Not Found

The Web page no longer exists, or has moved to another server with another address. The URL may be misspelt, try retyping.

Avoiding Error Messages

The three main reasons for receiving error messages are; the server is down, you've lost your Internet connection, or the URL is incorrect. First, click the Reload button. If this doesn't solve the problem, check the URL again. If you still get an error message, check your connection.

Many error messages are the result of incorrect URL syntax. Check that the URL is typed correctly, paying attention to upper and lower case letters. Also check that any colons, slashes, underscores or tildes are in the correct place. If you still receive an error message, you can discover the part of the URL causing the problem by backtracking to the top of the site, and adding to the directory path, one step at a time. For example, www.website.com, then www.website.com/one/ and so on, till you have the full URL http://www.website.com/one/two/three/four.html. If this is not successful, notify the site's administrator about the problem.
