In general one course consists of a certain number of lectures,
teaching exercises
- and lab experiments. It may last one or two
semesters. At the end of the course the student is obliged to pass the
exam. The passing grades are from 6 to 10, 10 being the highest
possible grade.
-
Each curriculum contains a certain number of defined courses with a
given number
- of hours per week (lectures + teaching exercise + labs).
In addition certain curricula requires that the student submits a
research paper and/or project report. Those reports are not graded.
-
Apart from the listed courses in each academic year the Department
offers two
- courses in Foreign languages (English, French, German
and Russian - Level I and II), with 2 hours per week in both
semesters. The student is required to choose either one Foreign
language course (Levels I and II), or two different Foreign languages
(Level I). The student is free to choose when he is going to enroll.
However, the exam in Foreign language I is the prerequisite for the
enrollment in the fourth year. The second exam in a Foreign language
is the prerequisite for obtaining the degree.
-
The first year students are also encouraged to take part in a PE
practice
- (swimming, ice-scatting, ball games, gymnastics) which
isorganized as the two-hour class per week.
