I'm one of the original timelords; I helped Brian Tompsett and Tony Cunningham wheel the GEC-63/40p into the machine room, configure and boot it, and I created the first accounts (jpd, bct, davros, billy and rick). Since I'm no longer in Edinburgh, I've not had quite the same hands-on involvement with the new machine; in fact, I've never seen it.
I now work in Cambridge at Rank Xerox EuroPARC, doing research into Computer-Supported Cooperative Work. I've been there since July 1989. I'm also a PhD student registered at University College, London, and that's where you'll find my real home page.
