Before you complete this form, you should read the Tardis Charter, the Edinburgh University Computing Regulations (with note on how they apply to Tardis), the current Publishing Restrictions, and the UKERNA guidelines.

This form must be completed on paper, attached to a printed copy of the computing regulations, signed and returned to the Tardis Project before an account can be set up for you. Emailed applications will not be accepted.

Your application must also be sponsored by an existing Tardis user. Normally we will not accept sponsors who have already sponsored two users or not already established members of the Tardis Project. See the Tardis Charter for details on the Sponsorship Scheme.

                a worthwhile contribution to the running of the Tardis

I agree that by signing this form I am personally liable for any use of my Tardis login not in accordance with the following "acceptable use" guidelines:

- I will read the Tardis Charter, and am aware that this document expresses the spirit in which users are expected to use the service.

- I will not attempt to access any systems I am not authorized to use from the Tardis domain nor will I use any resources of the Tardis domain to gain such unauthorized access elsewhere.

- I will not use any Tardis resources for illegal or criminal purposes.

- I will not use any Tardis resources for commercial gain.

- I will not use any Tardis resources for political or religious campaigning.

- I will report any possible security holes I find to timelords.

- I realize that I am responsible for all activities that take place on my assigned Tardis account. I will NOT give another person my password or other access to my account.

- I will cease any given activity I am engaged in upon request by representatives of Tardis (i.e., if a particular use is deemed inappropriate you will quit).

- I will inform Tardis of any changes to the above information.

- I agree to comply with the attached Edinburgh University Computing regulations as they apply to my use of Tardis facilities.

- I agree to comply with the UKERNA Acceptable Use guidelines as they apply to my use of Tardis facilities.

- I understand that the Tardis project may have to impose publishing restrictions on services such as WWW pages, ftp areas, and USENET news - and agree to comply with these restrictions if I am involved with publishing from Tardis.

- I agree that the Tardis project may change the conditions of usage at any time.

Finally, I will NOT hold the Tardis project liable for any damages I incur through my use or lack of use of the Tardis service.
