Extreme Effects By exposing all the parameters that are used to create EAX® ADVANCED HD™ environments, developers can create extreme effects that can be used as special effects in games. For example, all the sounds in the game could become temporarily muffled if the player got too close to a large explosion. Or if a player was hit by a spell, the environmental audio could continuously change pitch, or start to pan around the listener to create a disorientating effect.
