Main Window
The Photo4D Main Window stays open during a Photo4D project. Most of
the Photo4D functions involve the Main Window. The Main Window is
divided into three areas: the Main menu, the Main area, and the Status
bar.
Main Menu
Commands in the Main menu can be used as long as the Main Window is
accessible. The commands are grouped into the following pull-down
menus based on their function:
- File menu contains commands related to a
Photo4D project file.
- Window menu is for opening or raising
any Photo4D window. This Window menu also appears in all the other
Photo4D windows.
- Export menu exports results to files.
- Utilities menu invokes one of the
utility modules.
- The Help menu invokes the
on-line reference.
Main Area
The main area of the Main Window is a key component in Photo4D. Users
need to interact with the main area in most of the processing steps.
The main area uses a notebook metaphor. it contains pages that stack
together. The content of the selected page, is
displayed and can be accessed. These pages are designed
for the steps in a Photo4D project:
- Image page is for adding or deleting images in a project,
or for opening image windows. It can also be used for initial synchronization
of videos in a motion capture project.
- Mark page is for marking feature points
in images.
- Track page is used for
tracking the movements of feature points in videos.
- Setup page is for pre-computation
setup, allowing you to enter the
reference point coordinates, setting up constraints, and
entering initial image parameters.
- Compute page is for invoking 3D computation
and viewing computation results. In a motion capture project, it is also used
to calibrate a camera
in fixed position or to create a synchronization point.
- Measure page is used for taking
measurements.
- Model page is for constructing a model
using primitives such as polylines and meshes.
Status Bar
Status bar displays status and message.
